Hogmanay 2010 was in the midst of Scotland's longest period of sub-zero temperatures for fifty years. Although the weather caused some hardship, it created an arctic landscape of extraordinary beauty. The River Ullapool reflects the clear blue sky, while freezing mist hovers over the surface of Loch Achall. A memorable New Year's Day in the glen.
